Excited about Meraki? We are!
| |
When Cisco acquired Meraki in November, they gained a wireless solution designed from the ground up for cloud networking. Solutions are easy to deploy and offer a wide array of management features. The Meraki line offers automatic RF optimization, high-performance mesh, and application-aware traffic shaping to achieve the best possible coverage for business critical wireless networks.
Cisco states, "Cisco Meraki cloud-managed edge and branch networking solutions simplify enterprise-class networks. Wireless, switching, security, and devices are centrally managed from the cloud, In this way, Meraki gives network administrators visibility and control, without the cost and complexity of traditional architectures."
This cloud managed solution eliminates the wireless controller. The only premises infrastructure supporting the wireless network is the access point and its associated cabling. Now more than ever it is important to secure and protect the wireless access point supporting the preeminent enterprise network connection.
