Greetings from SUNNY Port Ludlow,

Do you feel the energy building towards summer?  We sure do...and hope you'll find a reason to be here soon.

The "chatter" around here is all about the "early spring" and what that means.  Here's some of what that means to us:

The crops are IN - about a month early with an overflowing abundance.  The markets are full of all kinds of spring greens and tulips in every color!

Boaters are out and about - and we haven't even reached Opening Day...and that includes kayaks, Stand-up paddle boarders (still too chilly for me - but many are doing this!) and sailors.  If you've never been to an Opening Day, it is sure to give you pause - even if you are not a boater.  The ceremony is stirring and the tradition filled with what I call "goose bump moments." Who DOESN'T get that feeling with bagpipes?
Saturday, May 9th is Opening Day in Port Ludlow.

Mother's Day is upon us....and that is a very special time to be at The Fireside.  Join us for brunch - and please make reservations as this event always sells out. Click the Menu below for details:

Have you heard about Wearable Art? Are you attending the upcoming show in Port Townsend? If so, make it a weekend and stay at the Resort. View details here.

And how about the "buzz" with the US Open?  Only an hour and fifteen minutes from Port Ludlow  - and the attention of the world upon our area for a few days. It is pretty fitting that it ends on Father's Day....are you going?

Lots of events coming up - read on for some of the highlights.

See you around the Inn soon,

Debbie

P.S.  Here's the photo of the month - Name where this is taken FROM and be the first to do so - you will win a choice of Kayaking or Stand Up Paddle Board for two at the Marina.

Thanks to last month's winner (so many guessed correctly on that one - guess the video clue helped?) The winner was: Jeremy Vance of Port Ludlow who guessed correctly that it was Sea Bass from Neah Bay.
Golf.

The Golf Course is celebrating 40 years this May. In celebration, we are offering 18 holes of golf with a cart for $40 per person.
Ted Wurtz, former Director of Golf at Port Ludlow takes a shot at the 17th hole in 1975 and then 40 years later.

NIBLICK'S WILL BE FEATURING A NEW MENU FOR THE SEASON. STARTING MAY 1.
DO YOU KNOW WHAT A NIBLICK IS?

Demo Days are Here:
May 20th from 12-4 is the demo day with Cleveland, Callaway, and Ping. From 4-6 there will be a scoring clinic with Cleveland Gold. This is a great opportunity to see the latest equipment and get some great tips. Call the Pro Shop for more details (360) 437-0272

The Season is upon us and the Marina is getting ready. Last year, the Marina had over 2000 guests arrive by boat and we are expecting at least that in 2015.

Make sure you stop by the Marina Store on your next visit. It's full of great gifts ideas, clothing (some pretty cute Maxi dresses, I must say), beer, wine, HAND SCOOPED ICE-CREAM, and novelties.

THE MARINA HAS RENTALS AVAILABLE:

One or Two person Kayaks

SUP's (Stand-Up-Paddleboard)

17' Scout - A fiberglass runabout with 90hp Honda outboard, similar to a Boston Whaler.  It has a center console  and can hold 1300#'s.

15' Duroboat - An aluminum skiff with a 6hp Yamaha engine and an outboard engine. No steering helm.  It can hold 600#'s.

Call the Marina for Details at (360) 437-0513
