February Happenings

Greetings from Port Ludlow -
Wow - have we had a LOT of rain this winter! And it is crazy warm - bulbs are sprouting already and there are buds on our bushes. Is this a tease or have we made it through the winter? Either way, it sure makes long walks fun!
Chef Dan and his team are up to all kinds of fun, too. He's agreed to a couple of cooking classes - back by popular demand. The first will be in May (23rd) and will be focused on knife skills. Hope you'll join us for that one - and plan, later in the year, on another one which will focus on "finishing like a Chef" - how to pipe mashed potatoes, use squeeze bottles for pretty plates and more. (November 7th).
Congratulations to our beverage team led by Anne Sackett - we were awarded the GRAND AWARD by the Washington Wine Commission. If you haven't been in for awhile, check out our current wine list - we think you'll be impressed!
Join us for our Wednesday Burger & Burgundy dinners to have a taste of our yummy pairings. February Menu and March Menu.

P.S. Congratulations to Symbolyn Sebastion of Port Townsend, WA on winning the contest last month. The dock is a very iconic view of Lake Crescent. Symoblyn will enjoy dinner at BURGER & BURGUNDY this month.
So - you may have heard - the US Open is coming to our area - and will be at Chambers Bay - only an hour and 15 minutes from Port Ludlow. Hope you already have your tickets - and if not, read on for your chance to win a couple....

We were delighted to have sponsored the Puget Sound Journal Book of Lists this year and welcome our newest readers to this newsletter as a result of the event. We encourage you to visit us - on a personal basis or with your group retreat.
Also, word has it that Martha Stewart was in the 'hood recently. Check out the March issue for a story on one of our local farms and her fascination with it.
