Happenings at
The Resort at Port Ludlow

Greetings from sunny (yes it is!) Port Ludlow~

Oh, the days are long and the nights are short and this is a lovely thing.  This message is filled with LOTS of the happenings - and, wow, there are LOTS of them.

We have "officially" moved to our summer hours - out of necessity - yippee - since our dining room is really humming along.  Please make reservations as we do not want you to be disappointed! (360-437-7412)  Let us count the reasons why:

10.  Donetta's Biscuits & Gravy (choose a 1/2 order unless you are really hungry.)

9.   Molly's raspberry, Mystery Bay goat cheese, frozen yogurt with Theo's chocolate drizzle.

8.  Northwest Clam Chowder - offered every day and filled with CLAMS

7.  "River's" Creme Brulee (on the kid's menu - and available in adult version too.)

6.  Dave's Banana Bread...do we need to say more?

5.  FISH - Neah Bay King Salmon or Alaskan True Cod, for example.

4.  PASTA - made fresh every day...yummy....

3.  Wine - ask Anne about her recent discovery - you will be pleased, we promise.

2.  BBQ Chicken thin crust pizza - a fan favorite

And drum roll.....

1. Fresh Halibut that melts like butter in your mouth (all while you are feeling so healthy eating fish!)

Now - here's what needs to be on your calendar:

Tea (very civilized and loads of fun) -Join on on the third Tuesday of every month from 2-4pm. Reservations are required so be sure to make yours by calling 360.437.7412.  Check out our blog post on the event.

Farms & Food

Farm Dinners- Reserve your spot at one of our upcoming farm dinner series events or join us for all four.

June 27th - SpringRain

July 18th - Dharma Ridge

August 29th - FinnRiver (at Finnriver farm)

September 19th - Red Dog

Jefferson Land Trust- we partner with the Jefferson Land Trust to help sustain local food sources...really amazing legacy work going on with this one!

Jefferson County Farmers Markets- Fresh food, entertainment, the fiber of Jefferson County - not to be missed and one of our favorite gathering places.

Save the date for The Sunfield School student art exhibition at The Inn. Student artwork will be displayed throughout July and August.

Beverage -Mom's like to go out for Mother's Day.  Dad's prefer their lazy boy chair or backyard BBQ.  However, Dads deserve a special treat too - so, bring yours to the Inn on June 29th and celebrate with father/son, Mike & Andrew Januik. Tickets available online.

Be sure to join us for "Wine with Anne," each month. Anne Sackett, our cellar master will walk you through a wine tasting that will make you sound like you know what you are talking about at your next party. Monday, June 30th will be all about Chateauneuf Du Pape. (We'll even teach you how to say it!)

Music and Drama - Trevor Hanson plays each Thursday - starting at 6pm.

Key City/PS Express events - July 9 and August 14 - Save the dates for an evening on the water and in the theatre.  Leaving from Port Ludlow Marina, PS Express will provide the transportation - you will walk from the Port Townsend Marina to the Key City Theatre for a live production - and then be transported back to PL.  Book your theatre cruise now

Whales - Join us for a "Whale of a Good Time," this summer.  Package includes your room for two nights, a 4 hour whale watching trip out of Port Townsend and 1000 STASH points.  Have done this several times now and it is amazing each and every time.  Oh, and is that blueberry buckle yummy too!

Dogs - We are happy to share that we are one of the properties featured in a new book - the RUFF GUIDE of the United States.  One of 365 places to take your pooch.

Boats - One of THE best events I've ever seen is the  Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival. You don't even need to be a guru of all things wooden - the festive environment, people having a great time and the beauty of it all will be worth the visit.  We will provide a FREE shuttle again this year throughout the weekend.

This Saturday (5/31) at the Lagoon - the T-37 remote controlled boats will be sharing the joy of these special "vessels" - see you there between noon-3pm.

Stand-Up Paddle Boarding is coming to The Port Ludlow Marina. Keep your eyes peeled on our Facebook Page to find out the exact date these will be available to rent.

Slumber - Book a getaway now - many choices from golf to dining to a visit to our local farms. Be sure to check out all of our summer packages on our website. And if you are a "point junkie" check out our loyalty program with STASH. Sign-up online to start earning points on your next trip to see us.

Award - Thank you! We were honored to have received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, 2014. Thanks to all of our guests that made the time to share their impressions.

Neighboring Events-  And if that isn't enough to fill your itinerary, check out what is happening in Port Townsend - recently in the press again as one of the best beach towns in the US...and you won't even need a swimsuit to enjoy this one!

And coming soon -  Festival by The Bay- July 25-27 - a full line up of arts & entertainment.

P.S.   So last month's photo was Farmer John at Spring Rain Farm - the winners are Jim & Marilyn Collee and they will be joining us for the first of our Farm Dinners on June 27th.  Now, here's your chance to win - this time it is good for our winemaker dinner on Sunday, June 29th with Father/Son, Mike and Andrew Januik.  Here's the clue: (be the first to name who this is and where this is.)
