2015 Plans for Improvement



CIC will hold its annual meeting for Governing Committee and Advisory Board Members on March 24-25, 2015 in Lake Mary, Fla. The meeting will be led by CEO Jim Headley.

Among CIC's goals for 2015 are improving registration processes and the quality of exams. A new registration interface will be unveiled during the meeting. 

In February, CIC Customer Service began producing Crane Operator and Rigger certification cards in-house in order to improve delivery times for issuing cards to certificants. Going forward, individuals who have successfully achieved certification will receive the new cards. For a minimal fee, CIC Customer Service will be happy to replace current certificants' cards with the newly designed cards  More 
New Documentation Products for Practical Examiners and Crane Operators 

CIC has developed two new products designed to improve efficiency and simplify documentation for Practical Examiners and Crane Operators.The first, a pocket-sized flip book for CIC Practical Examiners, provides key information from the Practical Examiner Handbook into a compact format. 

 

The second product is an Operator's Hours of Experience log book, which is pocket-sized and provides a convenient place for operators to record time spent as the "designated operator" while working on the job. More

Record Number of Operators Compete at North Carolina Regional Skills Competition

 

An extremely talented group of crane operators with as much as 40 years of experience demonstrated stellar precision control during the

Southeast Regional CIC Crane Operator & Rigger Skills Competition in Rockingham, N.C., on Jan. 17. This was the largest regional competition to date, with 35 operators and about 150 spectators. Operators who did not qualify for the Championship will have another chance to compete in the Southeast on May 9 in Birmingham, Ala. More

7 Crane Operators will advance to Championship where they will compete for $10,000
Three Regional Crane Operator & Rigger Skills Competitions have taken place, and three more are currently scheduled. CIC congratulates the seven operators, who have qualified to date, for the Championship round. They are listed below.
