CIC Directors and Advisors Plan for the Future

Governing and Advisory Board Members and guests met in Atlanta, Ga., April 15-17, for Crane Institute Certification's annual meeting. During the meeting, Committee Members dedicated themselves to long days of business development planning, item writing, and subcommittee work on a variety of CIC initiatives.

 

Guest speakers, representing Fisher & Phillips Attorneys at Law, JV Industrial Contractors and Institute for Safety and Health Management discussed the importance of productivity through safety and recruiting young workers to join the crane and rigging industry. Read more about it here.

 

In addition, the group enjoyed a benchmarking tour of World of Coke, followed by a strategy and vision session. "The ideals of Coca Cola founding leaders John Pemberton and Asa Candler are inspirational to CIC. From a small family business, the Coke leaders established an international a brand and utilized portions of the profits to help establish Emory University and support numerous charitable organizations," said Debbie Dickinson, Executive Director of CIC. "We are excited about its growth and future.

 

The meeting concluded with golf and tennis tournament at Mirror Lake, Villa Rica, Ga.
