Breaking News: OSHA Proposes to Extend Operator Certification Deadline

Northeast Regional Crane Operator Rodeo Set for June

On June 27, Cranes 101 and Wood's CRW Corp. will kick off the MCM & CIC Crane Operator Rodeo regional qualifying events in North Oxford, Mass. The organizations have planned a variety of activities, special guests, and vendors during the event while crane operators from the area compete for the top score during the skills competition. More

Calling PEs to Judge Regional and National Rodeo Competitions

CIC is seeking CIC Authorized Practical
 Examiners to volunteer as judges for several Regional Qualifying Crane Operator Rodeos, as well as the National Championship to be held in March 2014 at ConExpo in Las Vegas.


As the Event Partner for the MCM & CIC Crane Operator Rodeo, CIC is responsible for designing the course, providing judges, and scoring the operators at each Rodeo. Judges are currently needed for Aug. 9, 2013 in Chicago and Oct. 11, 2013 in San Diego, Calif. These events provide excellent exposure for your company.


A final Regional Qualifying event will be held the first two days of ConExpo, followed by the National Championship on the third and fourth days of the show. Practical Examiners are needed to serve morning or afternoon shifts as judges for the competition March 4-7, 2014.  For more information, please contact Alex Farmer at

CIC Files Five Programs for Re-accreditation, 

Announces New Programs


This Spring CIC submitted all documents for re-accreditation by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). Currently, applications have been submitted for five programs. In addition, CIC will soon launch three new programs for digger derricks, articulating booms, and service/mechanic trucks. Finally, pilot launch dates have been set for British Columbia reciprocal certification. More
