BACCALAUREATE MASS
A
The Rev J. Christian Beretta, OSFS, celebrated the 122nd Baccalaureate Mass on Saturday, June 4th. We were all so honored to have him give his blessings on such a special day.

After mass, the Parent Guild served a magnificent dinner out on the green under the big tent and beautiful blue sky. The evening was perfect. Thank you once again Parent Guild and also the student volunteers, Elle Brutsche, Brigid Morrissey, and Celina Ceballos. Elle Brutsche and Bridgid Morrissey

NEVER SAY GOODBYE PICNIC
Seniors gathered on the Ursuline green following their graduation practice for the annual Never Say Good-bye Picnic. Ursuline President Cathie Field Lloyd '70 and Alumnae Association President Catherine Kempista '01 welcomed the graduates and presented Ursuline laundry bags as a good-bye gift. However, we know they will never say good-bye as they are now welcomed to our Alumnae Association. Thanks for a great time, seniors; we are "grad" you came!

Middle School Summer Scholars Academy
Powered by ALL GIRLS
July 11 - July 22, 2016
Join us for the S.T.E.A.M Summer Scholars Academy for rising 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls. Our Summer Scholars will be exploring the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M). Your daughter will solve real world problems by using the engineering process. She will foster her creativity while developing an appreciation of the arts through drama and painting.
In addition to the sciences and artistic pursuits, she will practice leadership and presentation skills throughout the camp while working with peers on various projects.

COUNSELING CENTER PSAT 8/9 Results
The freshmen class met to create their online College Board accounts and retrieve their PSAT 8/9 score report. Each girl who took the exam reviewed how they performed on the standardized test in each area (reading/writing language and math.) In addition to the numerical results, they were able to see how the performed against other 9th graders in the nation as well as specific skill areas they need to strengthen. It was also stressed that they now have the opportunity to take advantage of the free test prep service from Khan Academy. The girls can link to Khan Academy through their College Board account and receive customized test preparation based on their PSAT 8/9 scores. In a recent meeting with the Duke University admission representative, she highly recommended using Khan Academy for standardized test preparation because of the positive results she has seen recently. If you have questions about the PSAT 8/9 results, please feel free to contact Erin Barillare at ebarillare@ursuline.org.

Only a few spots remain!
Ursuline Academy is excited to introduce an SAT Prep course to rising seniors--and now rising juniors--to help prepare your daughter for the new SATs. This is an excellent opportunity for your daughter to hone her skills while getting personalized attention from Mrs. Sharon Waldron, our Language Arts Department Chair and Mrs. Holly Colon, our Mathematics Department Chair.
This course will be offered Monday, August 8th through Friday, August 12th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The cost for the course is $225.
To assure that your daughter gets individualized attention, there are only twelve spots available, so please register online as soon as possible in order to secure a space.
Please contact Sharon Waldron swaldron@ursuline.org or Holly Colon hollytattersall@ursuline.org if you have any questions. We look forward to adding this unique opportunity to the broad selection of camps and activities offered on our campus during the summer.
