Dear Parents, Students, and Friends,
Lenten Prayer "Almighty and Everlasting God, You have given the human race Jesus Christ our Savior as a model of humility. He fulfilled Your Will by becoming Man And giving His life on the Cross. Help us to bear witness to You By following His example of suffering And make us worthy to share in His Resurrection. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son." Amen. May God bless you and your families.

SUMMER PROGRAMS
The New England Center for Investigative Reporting, based at Boston University's College of Communication, is again offering a unique Investigative Journalism Workshop this summer. This program, now in its eighth year, would be a perfect fit for students who are interested in journalism or writing. Nearly 135 students from 26 states and 15 countries attended last summer's workshop. Three two-week workshops will begin on June 27. During each session, students participate in seminars and work alongside BU faculty and award-winning local and national journalists on investigative stories that could be published on the center's website or in regional and national publications. Students will live on the BU campus and gain hands-on experience in investigative reporting while developing critical thinking and writing skills. For more information about this program, visit BU's website and read students' reflections on their experiences at the workshop last summer. Students who require financial aid should apply early, as aid is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

CLASS NEWS
The sophomore class visited the Biggs Art Museum in Dover on Wednesday, March 9 to see the St. John's Bible exhibit, the first illuminated manuscript of a Bible made in over 500 years since the invention of the printing press. Twenty three artists and calligraphers took over 15 years to make it, and the museum was fortunate to get 70 of the 1100+ pages. The Bible was done by St. John's University in MN and in Wales and will be bound in a few years. Students appreciated the beauty of the pages, done much in gold-leaf and also did a scavenger hunt. Reggie Lynch '05 was our tour guide.

ALUMNAE LUNCHEON SPEAKER SERIES

On Thursday, March 10th, students had the privilege of meeting Reggie Lynch, Class of 2005, at our Alumnae Luncheon Speaker Series! Reggie is the Curator Education Fellow at the Biggs Museum in Dover, Delaware. After graduation at Ursuline, Reggie insisted that she was going to be a big actress in New York City until a study abroad trip in Greece made her fall in love with art. She credits her Ursuline education, specifically her English, Writing, and Art History classes to the ease with which she was able to change her existing career path of drama to art education. She shared stories of the various positions and locations across the country from New York, Philadelphia, LA, and then back to Delaware, which helped her narrow down her passion for adult and high school education programs.
Reggie ended with a note about Serviam. She admitted that as a student at Ursuline from K-12, she was quite familiar with the word "Serviam," but as an adult in the workforce, the idea of giving back to others has been present in every position she has held. Thank you, Reggie, for your visit!
