MemphisMiraclePCCNA Celebrates 20th Anniversary of 'Memphis Miracle'
PCCNA Memphis Chapter President Rev. Aaron Campbell coordinated the 20th Anniversary Celebration.
On Monday, November 24, 2014, over 600 ministers and guests gathered at Cathedral of Praise Assembly of God, Memphis, TN, to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the "Memphis Miracle."
The anniversary service was planned by the PCCNA Memphis Chapter. President Aaron Campbell said of the event, "Our heart was to be intentional about celebrating racial harmony, rather than simply tolerating racial unity. Racial reconciliation is more than a duty; it is a privilege and honor about which we should rejoice."
Jurisdictional COGIC Bishop Jerry Maynard, pastor of Cathedral of Praise, Nashville, TN, gave the keynote address. Preliminary expressions were provided by Dr. Jeff Farmer (PCCNA Chairperson), Dr. Harold Hunter (Director, IPHC Archives & Research Center), and contributing author to the 1994 Racial Reconciliation Manifesto, and Rev. Don Evans, pastor of Gateway Christian Church, Tampa, FL.

The crowd was inspired in worship and special music by a seventy-voice, PCCNA choir, representing every race and culture. They were blessed as well by the Youth Praise Dancers, an assembly of young people from multiple churches who provided drama, music, and dancing.

It was during the Memphis Miracle service, celebrating racial harmony and unity, that the grand jury in Ferguson, Missouri announced "no indictment." The response of the group was prayer for peace and justice.

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."   Acts 1:8 (NIV)
