Clyde Hughes
Pentecostal Church of Christ for 24 years. On August 31, 2014, Clyde will step down, with honor, from the Overseer's office. The new IPCC presiding Bishop will be Rev. B.G. Turner. Hughes has served PCCNA with distinction, most recently as an Executive Committee member and Secretary of the Association. He will serve in the Secretary's office through the February, 2015, annual meeting in Vancouver.

The Church of God of Prophecy has been without a Presiding Bishop since June 2013. The General Presbytery of the COGOP elected to wait until their 98th Biennial International Assembly to select a new overseer. The time is near! The General Presbytery will present a name on July 30, 2014 for ratification by the COGOP ministers and delegates. At the time of this publication, only God knows who will lead the COGOP into the future.

Gordon McDonald has served as senior pastor of Calvary Christian Church in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, for 40 years! He is also the General Superintendent of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Canada. On June 30, 2014, Gordon will step down as senior pastor of his beloved congregation and pass the mantle to his assistant, Steve MacDonald. Gordon will continue to serve the PHCC as General Superintendent.

First Job: Working on a railroad maintenance crew replacing ties and rails. I could drive a railroad spike in three hits!

Favorite Verse: Hebrews 10:23 "Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful."

Favorite Author: Oswald Sanders (Spiritual Leadership)

What are you reading right now? The Bully Pulpit: Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and the Golden Age of Journalism, by Doris Kearns Goodwin. I have also been reading LIVE before you die, by Daniel Kolenda.

What advice would you give to someone starting out in ministry? Character trumps charismata. Many charismatic shooting stars flame out and crash. Value balance in all things; you want to make a substantive difference instead of just a splash. When you are on top, remember it was not all your doing. God and others have gone before you.

At the bottom remember God has not forgotten you. You own nothing: where you live, what you drive, what you do, even your own person. You are but a steward of everything you touch. So live and do because you owe a love debt.. It is a joy to give back to Him, and it is a liberating way to live.

Heaven Is For Real Trailer 2014 Movie - Official [HD]

More than 11 million people have watched Heaven is for Real since it was released in April. "To date, more than 11 million people have watched the film in theaters (2 million more than read the book), blowing away Sony's initial estimates of a total of 3.5-4 million moviegoers," says Kyle R. Thompson, Marketing-Production Consultant for Heaven is for Real.
"After 6 straight weekends in the top 10 of all films, Heaven is for Real finished its 7th weekend in the 18th place." Two other faith-based films showing on the big screen, God is not Dead and Mom's Night Out, have also done well at the box office
Things fathers should remember:
"For many little girls, life with father is a dress rehearsal for love and marriage." David Jeremiah
"Dad, there are many ways to measure success - not the least of which is the way your child describes you when talking to a friend." Author Unknown.
"He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse." Malachi 4:6
