PCCNAWorldVisionPCCNA Responds to Recent World Vision Board Policy Change
PCCNA began partnering with World Vision to fight the War on Malaria in 2011. You are probably aware that World Vision U.S (WV) announced a change in their employee conduct policy relative to same-sex marriage unions. That decision created a nation-wide fire storm of broad-based, negative response from evangelicals and Pentecostals. Since then, WV has reversed that policy.

PCCNA sent a statement to its members. Click
here to read some of the statements by our member denominational leaders in response to WV's reversal of that policy change.
PWCMeeting PCCNA Members Proclaim Good News in Mexico
David Wells, General Superintendent of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, introduces Daniel Valles, a Christian journalist and missionary from Juarez, Mexico.
PCCNA members met in Cancun, Mexico and shared good news about the things God is doing in their movements. "This is the largest annual gathering that we've had for a PCCNA meeting since we changed the format from a conference to a leader's gathering," says Jeff Farmer, PCCNA Chairman. Leaders came from Canada, the U.S. and Mexico to fellowship and share best practices from their movements.

Pastor Fermin Garcia announced the creation of the new Echo App, an android app for parents to monitor children's activity on smart phones. "With so many online predators targeting our children, we believe this app will help parents monitor their child's Facebook, Instagram, or Snap Chat activity," says Garcia.

Garcia is a senior pastor and leads of a network of churches in Tijuana, Grupo Unidad Cristiana de Mexico. Besides leading the churches, he serves as Chief Operating Officer of Mind Compass LLC which developed the app. Garcia said the app would soon be available for iPhones.

Pastor Cathy Ciaramitaro and her husband Pastor Rick of Windsor Christian Fellowship, Ontario, Canada, opened a rehabilitation home for women addicted to drugs and alcohol. Windsor Life Centre launched in April assisted by a large gift from Life Today, a ministry of James Robison. Women have been transformed by the Holy Spirit at the center, and God's is greatly providing the finances for the operating expenses.

Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada Superintendent David Wells introduced Daniel E. Valles, a journalist from Juarez, Mexico. Valles said Juarez's economy spiralled downward with the infiltration of mafia drug activity. Valles and his pastor, Gustavo Arango, founded Defendamos Juarez (Let's Protect Juarez). The group mobilized volunteers to clean up properties in derelict neighborhoods in 2012. Those efforts are paying off as the high crime rate has plummeted in the past few years.

Farmer ended the sessions with an exhortation from II Kings 7:9 to keep proclaiming the good news.

Church of God of Prophecy receives award from World Vision for raising $193K towards the war on malaria.
In 2011 the Holy Spirit called member denominations of the Pentecostal/Charismatic Churches of North America to unite in the war on malaria - an ancient, deadly disease that kills over 1,700 people per day - most of them children. A child dies from malaria every 52 seconds, even though the disease is totally treatable and preventable. In 2013 the Church of God of Prophecy joined the battle by launching an unprecedented campaign among its 1,800 churches in North America.

Their effort was majestic! Over $193,000 was donated to purchase 32,167 insecticide-treated bed nets, which will protect and save the lives of nearly 65,000 children. To date PCCNA church organizations have contributed over $1.0 million dollars of life-saving bed nets to be used in sub-Saharan Africa.

In a special ceremony of gratitude, PCCNA Chairman, Dr. Jeff Farmer, and World Vision Vice President Don Golden, congratulated and honored Bishops Sam Clements and Paul Holt for the generous, sacrificial giving of the people and churches of the Church of God of Prophecy.

The International Center for Spiritual Renewal (ICSR) is expanding its ministry scope. To strengthen their kingdom-based focus of spiritual renewal for the individual, the church and the world, the Center's board has selected three Spiritual Renewal Advisers to serve alongside their newly appointed Executive Director, Kay Horner.
PCCNA Chairman Jeff Farmer will serve as Adviser of Spiritual Renewal and Compassion for the ICSR based in Cleveland, TN. Farmer will serve Dr. David Ferguson, Adviser of Spiritual Renewal and Kingdom Networks and Dr. Tom Philips, Adviser of Spiritual Renewal and Evangelism.
Dr. Farmer believes, "Our nation and the nations of the world stand in need of a great deliverance and salvation. Victory will come as Spirit-empowered advisers draw closer to the Lord and bring a living word of counsel from the throne room of heaven."

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."   Acts 1:8 (NIV)

What advice would you give to someone starting out in the ministry?
Keep the main things the main things - Empowered by the Spirit, make disciples who will be lovers of God and lovers of others. It involves sharing our whole life as I Thessalonians 2:8 reminds us, "Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well."

In addition to routine business, the Board of Administration acted on three important motions:
Approval of a new Executive Committee (EC) member, Fermin Garcia, Tijuana, Mexico, to a three-year term. This marks the first time in PCCNA history when a seat on the EC has been assumed by a leader from Mexico.
