PCCNA 2014 Meeting: Cancun Read more

For the first four months of 2013, PCCNA members have sent an average of $10,000 per month to World Vision for the purchase of bed nets. That average will rise sharply when revenues are received from the Church of God of Prophecy and cmiGlobal who are currently concluding campaigns. PCCNA - you just sent another 6,667 nets to protect and potentially save 13,333 children.

Long-lasting, life-saving nets (known as LLIN's) are the result of years of research. Although nets have served mosquito-infested regions for decades, a revolutionary change was introduced in the 1980s when insecticide was added.  Now the nets provide not only a barrier to malaria-transmitting mosquitoes, but they kill the insects on contact.

According to James Addis, "Scientists have recently developed ways to impregnate nets so the insecticide steadily migrates to the outer layer, replacing insecticide lost at the surface. These treated nets can withstand repeated washings and remain effective for several years. The insecticide is considered among the world's safest and is not toxic to humans, unless ingested in very large amounts."

Please keep praying for the children, and for ultimate victory in this WAR to eliminate malaria.

Celebrate Pentecost Sunday

Empowered Greetings!
Pentecost 2013 is just days away!

On behalf of Billy Wilson, Empowered21 Executive Director, and the E21 team, we want to ask for your continued help in promoting Pentecost 2013 to your ministry network.

Last year, we saw the greatest amount of web-traffic and registrations during the two weeks prior to Pentecost Sunday.

Empowered21 Twitter followers have increased by 1000 over the past several weeks. Charisma and Ministry Today featured the attached flyer in their May issues.  We encourage you to post and re-tweet frequently on Social Media.

Leadership Focus: Dr. Clyde M. Huges, General Overseer, International Pentecostal Church of Christ
Bishop Clyde M. Hughes

Editor's Note: Clyde has served longer as Overseer of the IPCC than any other presiding denominational president, bishop, or general overseer in the PCCNA.
He has been in office for over 20 years.

Favorite scripture:
Acts 3:1-6. I grew up with one eye, a severe speech impediment and in a low-middle class family with few of the assets and gifts of those around me. It has always given strength to me to know that it doesn't take much of a man for God to use, just all of Him. He will do the rest.

One piece of advice you would give to someone who wants to go into the ministry: We have too many occupational and hobby ministers. It must be a calling. Then I tell young ministers, "If you fully invest the first ten years of your ministry in work, study, and prayer, much of your life's ministry will be made for you." Then we must pray more, work more, think and study more, love more, focus more than our people and be there for the long haul.

First secular job:
