Dear Students, Parents, Teachers & Friends of Education,

Taylor Gray - 9th in Nation

Taylor Gray, representing the Winder-Barrow High Technology Association, travelled to Nashville, Tennessee in July to compete in the Career Preparation Competition. Taylor earned the right to compete at the national level by finishing as a Top 10 Finalist in Georgia. In the July competition, she competed against 7,500 students from all across the United States, as well as, Turkey and Germany.

For the competition, Taylor researched three jobs in the engineering field, wrote cover letters and resumes and prepared for an interview. After her resumes and cover letters were judged, Taylor qualified as one of the Top 12 Finalists. The final stage of the competition was a live interview in which competitors walk into the interview not knowing which career field would be the focus of the interview. She was interviewed as a Manufacturing Engineer. Taylor did a great job and placed 9th in the Nation for Career Preparation. We are extremely proud of her hard work, dedication, and success. Taylor is a Junior at Winder-Barrow this year.
