Tuesday was everything I could hope for!
From talking with readers on public radio's The Larry Meiller Show, to the great crowd that came to the evening party at Madison's Mystery to Me bookstore, it was a wonderful celebratory launch for the fourth book in the Chloe Ellefson Historic Sites mystery series.

Larry made me feel so at ease that I almost forgot that some 100,000 people were listening. And those who called in shared some great stories about their Norwegian-American family Christmas traditions. You can hear the broadcast on my website by clicking HERE.

The launch party that evening was great fun! I did a reading, answered audience questions, and awarded door prizes.
We also ate Norwegian lefse (that whole plate disappeared) and a fabulous rosemaled cake created by chef Alisha Rapp.
Best of all were the wonderful Chloe mystery readers who braved the cold to attend. Their enthusiasm and support touched my heart and made the evening a delight.
And last, but far from least, was the launch party setting: the Mystery to Me bookstore owned by Joanne Berg.
When Madison's only indie mystery bookstore closed, Joanne started a new one. We are so fortunate she did! | |
Writers create in solitude, but it is readers like those who called in and came out who make it all possible! I'm grateful. Warm regards,
