Constructing Toys for Kids
Victory Centre of Park Forest residents helped fill Santa's toy bag! They sawed, sanded and painted a few dozen of the more than 200 handmade wooden toys Victory Centre Business Office Manager Peter R. Le Grand made this year. All of the toys--cars, boats and doll cradles--were donated to WGN's Toy Drive benefitting Jennifer Hudson's Julian D. King Gift Foundation. Read more.

Helping Feed the Hungry
Norman Small of Victory Centre of Roseland organized a food drive to help those less fortunate. "We should show that we care and give back to people in our neighborhood, since people are always doing things for us," Small said.
Pathway Senior Living's support center team members collected a generous amount of food for the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

        Filling Purses for Veterans
Out of respect and admiration for female veterans, Victory Centre of Park Forest residents and team member supported the village's "Pretty Purses" event by donating 30 new purses. Residents filled the purses with toiletries in assembly-line fashion before packaging them in reusable shopping bags.

Frying Chanukah Latkes
Alexian Village resident bakers had fun reminiscing about family holidays while preparing homemade latkes and then enjoyed eating the fruits of their labor. See photos.

Hosting Breakfast
with Santa
Oak Hill Supportive Living in Round Lake Beach hosted its annual "Breakfast with Santa," offering neighbors a free pancake breakfast and one-on-one time with special guest Santa Claus.
