Victory Centre Grants Wish!
 A lifelong farmer, Grace Heinrich, age 91, wished to sit behind the wheel of a John Deere tractor once more. Grace's wish was granted on a beautiful fall day thanks to the folks at Victory Centre of Bartlett, where she lives, and the kindness of a Lisle horse farmer. Daughters Donna Piper and Sue DeVries cried tears of joy at the sight of their mom in the John Deere's driver seat. "I'm not dead yet!" said Grace, smiling and enjoying the moment. Three horses whinnied and neighed in a corral beside Grace and the tractor. Grace's daughters shared stories about Grace's late husband and their dad Elmer, farming and working at the produce stand.
Veterans Enjoy Trips of a Lifetime
Two of Pathway's veterans recently took Honor Flight trips to Washington, DC, to visit the National WWII memorial. Remember them and all U.S. veterans on Veterans Day, November 11.
Robert Dehn, age 90, of Victory Centre of River Oaks in Calumet City, spent a couple of his teenage years aboard a celebrated WWII battleship making history shooting down enemy planes. Read more.
Jack Phillips, age 89, of Victory Centre of Bartlett, enlisted in the Navy in 1943 at age 17 because, "I figured they couldn't win the war without me." Jack served on a submarine as a fireman and engine room operator. Read more.
Celebrating the Cubs!
This lifelong Cubs fan and Alexian Village resident Helen Blum, cheered the Chicago Cubs on during the team's amazing, magical season. Wishing for the World Series next year!
Super Dog Visit
Chihuahuas dressed in Halloween costumes made Victory Centre of Bartlett's Halloween "Dog" Party a howling success! Members of the Perry Dog Chihuahua Club brought their fun pups to connect and socialize with residents.
