A Schaumburg Boy Scout planted a butterfly garden at Alexian Village of Elk Grove to earn the rank of Eagle Scout and to attract the beautiful winged creatures to the community. Jimmy Minard, age 15, chose the location because that's where his great-grandmother lives. Thanks to Jimmy the butterflies have arrived!
Design a Winning Kite
Victory Centre of Bartlett won 1st place in the Arts in Bartlett kite decorating competition at the Heritage Days Festival. The "just ducky" design showed the kite-makers' creative flair, while donating the kite to help raise money for a youth grant showed their generosity.
Play Outdoors
Outdoor play sets at several Pathway communities help pack more fun into grandparent visits. Residents enjoy seeing the little ones climb and play in their own "backyards."
