Mobile Masterpiece #2
Inspired by the abstract paintings of Wassily Kandinsky, Pathway residents created original artwork to customize their community bus. The residents used nine different paint colors, applying each one at a time to get the desired effect. This and Pathway's other painted bus send the positive message that creativity is ageless.
The on-the-go art exhibit will be rolling through Chicago's Roseland, South Chicago and Galewood neighborhoods as well as Melrose Park.
Thanks to staff members of Indian descent, Alexian Village residents got a taste of India's rich, colorful and spicy culture without having to leave Elk Grove Village. Staff and their family members brought India to them with a collection of silk saris, traditional food and music and copies of their wedding videos. See more photos.
A colorful, custom painted chair created by Alexian Village artists was auctioned off to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The residents were happy to learn that their one-of-a-kind chair earned a hefty donation and is now sitting pretty in Addison's playroom!
New Twist on String Art
This 60's throwback inspired craft got a modern twist when residents from Victory Centre of Vernon Hills made a string art Pathway Senior Living logo. On a surprise visit to Pathway's corporate support center, the residents presented the team with their ArtPath project. See more photos.
