In honor of Grand Central Station's 100 year anniversary, we thought we'd share a little story about one of the treasures salvaged from the terminal's original post office. Last year BIG!NYC acquired a collection of historic relics from NYC buildings, including Grand Central's original post office, through an auction run by the Landmarks Preservation Commission.

After arriving in Astoria, the antique post office windows caught the eye of Hecho Inc. design and construction firm. Hecho utilized these golden beauties in a night club build out in Las Vegas. The Palazzo Hotel is now home to The Act, one of Las Vega's premiere night clubs with a very unique flare. Hecho placed the golden frames around the exterior of the The Act, luring in customers with their vintage design and luster. The windows also serve as a statement piece for the night club, a hint at the theme and mystery that await people inside.
