Calming Garden Sponsors
Pictured left to right in the photo above are The Florida Center for Early Childhood President and CEO Kathryn Shea, Home Depot Associate Lisa Barnes, Hazeltine Sales and Design Manager Dan Mogensen, Home Depot Associate Support Dept. Supervisor Helen Miras, Junior League President Jessica Hays and Junior League Member Denise West.

Thanks to the generosity of the Junior League of Sarasota County, Home Depot, Hazeltine Nurseries and Comcast Cable, there now sits an oasis in the middle of The Florida Center's Sarasota campus that is easy on the eye and the mind. It's been appropriately named The Calming Garden.

Surrounding The Calming Garden are large boulder-type rocks that Calming Garden Sign work to provide a sense of security for all those who visit. The shades of green and calming scents throughout the garden provide a special calming space for the children and families who visit The Florida Center for developmental services and support. Families come to the Center for high quality early childhood education, developmental therapy and infant and early childhood mental health therapy.
