RSA-US Student Design Awards (SDA-US) is an awards program to inspire collaborative, multidisciplinary design-led social change which connects design students and faculty with industry needs. STUDENT OPPORTUNITY: PAID INTERNSHIPS | The Metropolitan Museum of Art offers forty-one paid internships for undergraduate and master's degree students each year. Internships commence in June and are placed in host departments where they work closely with supervisors on special and ongoing projects. All paid interns also participate in MuSe (Museum Seminars) and receive training to teach in the Museum's galleries. Individuals selected for paid internships have the opportunity to meet and network with one another through MuSe and other intern events. A collection of over 6,000 transparencies all taken by late architect Stanley Prowler, who traveled extensively in the U.S. and abroad, these images focus mainly on built works of architecture. Throughout his life, Prowler explored Brazil, Portugal, France, Britain, Greece, Israel, India, Japan, Argentina and several other countries, including a trip to China just months after it was open to American travelers. Using a medium format or 35mm camera and with an architect's eye, Prowler captured the essence of the built environment and people of a particular time and place.
Upon Prowler's death, his collection of over 6,000 travel photographs was bequeathed to The International Center, where he served as a board member. The organization subsequently donated these materials to the Architecture Archive in 2006.

School of Architecture Archive historical background: In 1970 John Hejduk and Roger Canon, AR'70, established a methodology to document student work for the publication Education of An Architect: A Point of View, which coincided with an exhibition of the same name held at the Museum of Modern Art in 1971. Supported by a recommendation of the 1980 National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) Visiting Team, the Archive was established in 1983, and officially became a department of the School of Architecture in 1991.
