OCTOBER 2011 SESSION NEWS and UPDATES
June 28, 2011

Greetings!

As you know, our 31st Anniversary Legislative Session is scheduled for October 24 through 27, 2011.  The Abbreviated Schedule can be viewed and/or copied by visiting our website at www.4csl.org.

The time has come to decide on which Policy Committee you would like to join.  These are the committees that make important decisions related to new proposals. This year, only Senior Assembly Members are up for re-election on these committees. The Policy Committee choices for Senior Assembly Members are:  Finance and Insurance, Health, Housing and Transportation, Social and Community Services, and State and Local Government.

Senior Senators can change Policy Committees if they so desire except for the JRC and Leg Committee members, because they are obligated to remain on their Policy Committees from last year until 2012. Please remember that everyone must send in the Policy Committee Selection Form  and it's first come, first served. You must fill out this form and mail it back in to have a place on a committee.

Don't forget to take an advertisement in the October 2011 Program Session Book. The Ad Form is also available on the web site. Thanks to all of you for your ongoing support and participation in the October 2011 Annual Session!

Sincerely,

Joe Cox, Chair

Session Planning Sub-Committee
