People for Bikes is an organization that strives to make bicycling better for everyone. After all, we all ride bikes. Maybe it was as a kid or as an avid racer, but at one time we have all been on one. The bicycle unites us in this way. Which is why when we hear stories about motorists versus bicycles it is disheartening. Richard Fries, a cyclist, thinks he found the magic word for these situations between motorists and bike rider,.... " careful". It's not the curse word that you feel like flinging at them, its a cautionary word that lets each party be reminded that we are all human and somebody's loved one. Try it next time your on the road. Read his full article here. Go online and sign their pledge. Every signature is a vote that gets us closer to a bike friendly tomorrow.
