SHREVEPORT SYMPHONY'S FEB. 28 SPRING IS IN THE AIR! CONCERT 
TO FEATURE AERIAL DANCE ENSEMBLE

 
SHREVEPORT, LA, FEBRUARY 17, 2015 - The Shreveport Symphony Orchestra's Spring is in the Air! concert will be held on Saturday, February 28 at 7:30 PM at the RiverView Theater in Shreveport.

Music, nature, and dancers will be in the air (above the stage) for this unique performance that includes the Frequent Flyers Aerial Dance ensemble performing to the music of Aaron Copland's Appalachian Spring* and more.

ABOUT PAUL HAYDEN

Dr. Paul Hayden received degrees in composition from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The recipient of many awards and grants, Dr. Hayden has taught at LSU and Eastern Illinois University. His music-mostly chamber, vocal, and orchestral compositions-has been performed in Europe, Russia, China, and throughout the United States. It is available through Theodore Presser Co., Carl Fischer, Inc., and Magnolia Music Press and recorded on Centaur, Opus One, Mark, and WorldWinds record labels.

2015 Rhapsody Gala - April 18, 7:30 PM

The Shreveport Symphony Orchestra will host its Annual Rhapsody Gala - an evening of mystique, romance, tantalizing food and drink, fun and unforgettable moments - on Saturday, April 18, 7:30 PM, at El Dorado Casino. This year's theme Scheherazade will provide an exotic background for an event filled with guest performers, an auction and musical entertainment.
