THE RETURN OF MOVIE MASTERPIECES
AT THE SHREVEPORT SYMPHONY ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18
 

Concert features the premiere of two animated short films by Moonbot Studios,
plus more music from the world of film


Shreveport, LA, October 6, 2014 - The Shreveport Symphony's Movie Masterpieces III concert will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014, 7:30 PM at the RiverView Theater. The program will feature the premiere of two animated short films by Moonbot Studios: The Cask of Amontillado and Silent, plus more exciting music from the world of film, including Star Wars, Breakfast at Tiffany's, The X-Files, Superman, and more.


Founded in 2010, Moonbot Studios is an animation and storytelling company based in Shreveport. Moonbot Studios was co-founded by award-winning artists and filmmakers, William Joyce, Brandon Oldenburg and veteran film producer Lampton Enochs. Moonbot Studios' philosophy is to develop our stories as books, interactive applications, games with a compelling emotional narrative and exciting visual aesthetics.

Moonbot Studios' The Cask of Amontillado is the directing debut for Joe Bluhm, who is also a participating artist in the Shreveport Symphony's Painted Violins Project this season.

The Shreveport Symphony is also presenting a chamber music concert on Sunday, October 19, 3 PM at the First Baptist Shreveport. This concert, part of 
The Noel Foundation, Inc. Chamber Music Series, brings together the talents of world-class guest artists and some of our top Shreveport Symphony musicians in intimate musical settings. General admission seats for all Chamber Music Series concerts are free.

The talented members of the SSO Brass section will present a stirring program of classic selections for the brass quintet.
