In 2012 two of our founders and directors, Dwight Poage and Sharon Smart-Poage, were awarded the prestigious, World Service Above Self award from Rotary International! Mayan Families is also a Gold-level GuideStar Exchange participant, demonstrating our commitment to transparency. • Create sustainable paths to prosperity with trade-school classes, Carpentry classes, Sewing classes, new Welding classes, Computer classes and provide a hand up for Women with our Micro Loan programs.

• Sponsor a child in our Orphan Program...provide education, food and basic needs.

• Build a house for a family or a School or Classroom for a needy community.

• Provide support to a School with supplies, chairs, bookshelves, a library etc.
