ĻIf you canīt feed a hundred people, then just feed oneĻ
Mother Theresa, Nobel Peace Prize Recipient, 1979
Greetings from Guatemala! A place where tradition can bring hope and joy, especially during the holiday season. The practice of "Tamales at Christmas" grew from the Mayan tradition of tamales as a special and festive symbol as early as 1200 BC. Sadly, many of our families cannot afford the ingredients for tamales so each year Mayan Families distributes Tamale Food Baskets to our impoverished families so they could celebrate the holidays...
Since 2006 we have distributed over 8,700 Tamale Baskets!
