Each holiday season, Mayan Families makes and distributes tamale baskets to many impoverished, indigenous families in rural Guatemala. Last year, we distributed over 1,500 baskets to those desperately in-need. At the moment, the amount of donated tamale baskets are at an all-time low--we have only received a little over 500 baskets.
This holiday season, we ask that you please provide a family with a tamale basket and ensure that all of our Mayan families are able to have a hot meal with their loved ones.
