Join Ari Rockland-Miller of The Mushroom Forager for a colorful slide presentation introducing gourmet and medicinal wild mushrooms of autumn. Following the indoor program, we will go on a guided outdoor foray with a focus on safely enjoying intermediate-level species including porcini, chanterelles, yellow-foots, blewits, and saffron, hygrophorous, corrugated, and voluminous latex milkies. Participants will receive a September ForageCast handout for the region, steering us towards a targeted and fruitful foray. Ari will also discuss guidelines for ethical wildcrafting.

This program will be of interest to those with just a little knowledge of wild mushrooms and to more advanced fungi-loving folk alike. Pre-registration required. Program is free to NHLT members and $20.00 for non-members.

Please RSVP via e-mail or to Karen at 860-489-4118.
