What?
Join us on an insect-focused exploration of New Hartford woodlands and meadows. This guided hike will be at our new Wernick Property with varied terrain and will show the role of insects in forest ecosystems. Leader Rob Clark will cover a variety of topics including insect herbivores and their predators, native pollinators and parasitic insects. He will also talk about the impact of invasive insects on native forest trees.

Where?
Please pre-register by e-mail or phone (860-480-4844) to get directions to the site and info on parking. No problem to join at the last minute but RSVPs will help us plan parking for the tour.

Dr. S. Steven Wernick bequeathed property on both sides of Steele Road to the New Hartford Land Trust. The land became ours several weeks ago and we are thrilled that he chose to preserve it with NHLT. Through Dr. Wernick's generosity and planning, this beautiful and varied 68.5-acre site will remain open space in perpetuity.
