Cub Scouts with bags of Garlic Must AH

Victory! Many thanks to the Cub Scouts and parents who pulled up large quantities of invasive Garlic Mustard at NHLT's Riverview Park. The Garlic Mustard is shown here before (right) and after (in the garbage bags)!

Biologist and invasive plant specialist, Betsy Corrigan, will lead a walking tour for the NHLT at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 12. Come out and learn why we should be concerned about invasive plants, how to identify and eradicate them and what is happening in the larger community on this issue. Bring a sample if you wish to have a plant identified.

Meet in the back yard behind 62 Wickett Street. Please wear rubber boots and appropriate clothing. This is a private home that backs up to the Farmington River. NHLT will provide fact sheets, resource lists and other materials to all who RSVP. If possible, please e-mail us to let us know you are coming!
