Mushroom Walk is Filled!
We got a big response for today's Mushroom Walk! The guided hike filled up quickly. For those of you who did not register and receive confirmation back from us, we will try to schedule another workshop with mushroom expert, Marlene Snecinski. Watch for an update.

NHLT is looking for clean, empty two-gallon coffee cans for building Mason Bee houses, a project we are doing with local Girl Scouts and others. Please e-mail us if you have an old coffee can to donate!

Riverfront Invasive Plant Workshop

 Biologist and Invasive Plant Expert

 

 Saturday, October 12th

9:00 - 10:30 a.m.

 

Join us on the banks of the Farmington River in Pine Meadow to learn to recognize invasive plants including shrubs in the field. Find out why they cause concern and what we can do about them. Bring samples for ID if you
wish!

 

Please e-mail NHLT or call 860-626-0301 as soon as possible if you plan to join so we will have handouts for everyone participating. This workshop will postpone due to rain. NHLT will send out an e-news if the walk is postponed. 

  

Meet at 62 Wickett Street. Wear rubber boots. This is a private yard in the Pine Meadow section of New Hartford that backs up to the Farmington River.

Mighty Soul Drivers
The Mighty Soul Drivers will play at the Fall Frolic. Check out their music.

The Mighty Soul Drivers "will bring the classic soul sounds of Memphis, Muscle Shoals and points south" to New Hartford. Their music will turn the NHLT's Fall Frolic into a fabulous dance party after they play quieter tunes during the earlier part of the evening and delicious harvest dinner.

 

Join us at Ski Sundown on Saturday, October 19th from 6-10 p.m.! Invitations.This event is family friendly. Come out to support your Land Trust and enjoy an evening of fabulous food (including vegetarian dishes), friendly people and great music!
