Scott Heth of the Sharon Audubon Center brought three owls including the Great Horned shown above to the NHLT's Owl Prowl in April. About 70 people of all ages came out to learn all about owls.

 special events such as this guided hike

and work days. NHLT's next work day  

will be Saturday, June 1st from 9 a.m.

until noon. 

 

Driving Directions:  From Route 202, turn south
onto East Cotton Hill Rd. Go about
1.5 miles and turn left on Sabolcik Rd. Bear right where road becomes a dirt road. Turn right into

 dirt track just past first house on the right and across from #140. Volunteers will direct you

to the parking area.

Earth Day 2013 - trailer of tires

On April 27th, volunteers removed

 about 70 old tires and other debris to make way for trails.

From 9:00 a.m. until noon on Saturday, June 1st, volunteers will gather at NHLT's Alfred Sabolcik Property to take a brief hike around the site and then work for a few hours preparing the area for eventual public access for hiking. Please join us for a guided tour and some invigorating and satisfying work!
