The Sharon Audubon Center is a nature center and wildlife sanctuary owned and operated by the National Audubon Society. The Center features a wildlife rehabilitation program for birds and specializes in birds of prey. It is open to the public year round.

Sharon Audubon Director, Scott Heth,
will show two live owls from the Center
and review their calls as well as their characteristics and adaptations
for survival. After his talk, he will
lead us on a short walk in search of owls such as Eastern Screech, Barred and
Great Horned Owls on the site.

 

Please bring a flashlight and a jacket as the program will end just after dark. 
 
 

Directions:  From Route 202 in Bakersville,
turn south onto East Cotton Hill Road at
the blinking light.  Go 1.5 miles to
Sabolcik Road and turn left.
Follow signs for Owl Prowl.
