Tax Assessment Help Centers

The Chief County Assessment Office (CCAO) will hold 16 TAX ASSESSMENT HELP CENTERS this fall to help residents understand their property assessment. Residents will work one on one with a member of the CCAO staff to evaluate their property tax assessment and learn how to use valuable web applications on the county website.

County-wide Collaborative Coalition Pursues Solutions to Opioid Problem
|  Public safety officials, first responders, the health department and hospitals across Lake County are working to address the rising problem of use and abuse of opioids, including heroin and prescription pain medications. Through the Lake County Opioid initiative, first responders recently completed training on the use of Naloxone - a drug that is used to reverse an opioid overdose and save lives. Homeowner Deed Scam

The Lake County Recorder of Deeds office has received calls from concerned residents reporting an ongoing scam involving fake companies soliciting homeowners to purchase a certified copy of the deed to their home for $90. For your protection, all requests for copies of deeds should be handled directly through the Lake County Recorder's office. Vernon Township will be hosting the 6th Annual Community Garage Sale in the west parking lot of the Prairie View Metra Station located on Main St, just north of Rt 22 in Buffalo Grove. Shop from over 60 vendors participate to sell their unwanted treasures. Proceeds of the garage sale of the spaces benefit the Vernon Township Food Pantry. Vendor application is due August 29.
