As you know, we are preparing for a ratification vote, which will occur electronically administered by SDEA. You should have received an email message from Ken Potter at SDEA on Friday afternoon. If YOU DID NOT receive such a message, please check your Spam folder. If it is not there, you MUST contact Loren Paul immediately. Please send an email message with your correct email address to loren.paul@sdea.org.
Without the appropriate email information, we will not be able to provide you the details of the voting process. Tentatively, that has been scheduled to open on Wednesday, May 1, and close Friday, May 10, via surveymonkey.com. Look for the message with further details from Ken Potter next week.
Also, please remember, we will have a conference call to discuss the proposed contract changes, tomorrow, Monday, April 29, 3:00 p.m., Central (2:00 p.m., Mountain). Call 888-394-8197 and use event #791837. Here are the proposed changes and a highlight/summary sheet. Attention: Black Hills members, tomorrow's conference call should not be confused with your campus meeting on Tuesday, April 30, 1:00 p.m., which Tim Martinez has arranged for me to call into a speaker phone to answer your questions directly. You may attend both or either sessions. These are primarily designed to respond to your questions. That BHSU meeting concludes the series of ratification meetings for COHE members, four of which I attended last week at the four East River campuses. All members of the bargaining unit (i.e., all faculty, including COHE members and non-COHE members) will receive an informative email shortly with the announcement of yet another conference call for them (and you) to ask further questions.
