ACLU of GA

Dear ACLU of Georgia Supporter,

Legislative Action Alert

Please call your State Senator and members of the Senate Judiciary Committee (Non-Civil) and ask them to fix HB 125 or vote no!

Message: "Fix HB 125. The original bill corrected a problem that the Secretary of State experienced in processing business and professional licenses and renewals. This needs to be done but the House added additional language that hurts immigrant families and students. Please reject the added language and either fix HB 125 to its original version or insist that the House pass SB 160 unamended. The Senate got it right with SB 160, which reads like the original HB 125, and must say NO to the current HB 125."

If pressed for a short version: "Please insist the House pass an unamended SB 160. Reject the harmful HB 125."

(All these Senators and the Lt. Governor need to be called. Please make an effort to get to each and every one.)
