The PRO CWDM Series OTDR is a ruggedized and compact OTDR that is available in a variety of wavelengths, with up to four wavelengths per unit 1271 to 1611nm. Unlike other CWDM OTDRs that need to have the wavelengths in sequential order, with the PRO CWDM Series OTDR the wavelengths can be moved around. You can choose from one of the two CWDM OTDRs that have preselected wavelengths, or you can customize the CWDM OTDR to the 4 wavelengths of your choice.

 

The OFT-CWDM-SB OTDR can test 1471, 1491, 1511, 1531nm, and the OFT-CWDM-LB can test 1551, 1571, 1591, 1611nm. The PRO CWDM Series OTDR is a handheld, single point solution. It offers a lower entry cost and there's no need for an expensive modular platform.The PRO CWDM Series OTDRs are water, dust and shock resistant, has on-board storage for 500 traces, video inspection capability and a USB port for easy data transfer.

A VFL provides you with a quick easy test to allow you to ensure that fibers are not damaged before installation or where they may be damaged after installation has occurred. A VFL is also useful when connecting fiber at a patch panel to ensure end to end connectivity.

The last thing you want to do as a technician is be the one responsible for unplugging a live fiber during peak hours and breaching any fiber service agreements with big clients. During any fiber testing, it is essential to have with you an Optical Fiber Identifier (OFI). Especially when fibers are not labeled, an OFI ensures that the fiber you are testing is safe to unplug.

With the OFI-30 Optical Fiber Identifier, an audible tone can be heard when traffic is present on the fiber under test. Core power (from -50~+10dBm) is indicated by a digital display on the face of the unit. By utilizing local detection technology (non-destructive macro-bend detection which does not damage or overstress the fiber) the unit eliminates the need to open the fiber at the splice point for identification, eliminating the probability of interrupting service.

Small enough to fit in your shirt pocket, the PM-12 is a super-compact, ergonomic power meter that has a display range from +10 ~ -70dBm (12A), +26 ~ -50dBm (12B) (@1550nm) and can measure 850, 1300, 1310, 1490, 1550 and 1625nm wavelengths. The user can choose between "Linear" or "Logarithmic" power displays.
