Conveniently located off I-75, 25 miles south of the Mackinac Bridge, the fishermen friendly community of Indian River is in the center of all that makes Northern Michigan a treasured destination. Named after the river that flows through it, Indian River is at the axis of Michigan's longest Inland Waterway----a series of rivers and lakes forming a navigable route for small craft between Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. It's within this recreational thoroughfare where two of the Nation's more recently acclaimed smallmouth bass fisheries exists----Burt and Mullet Lakes.
