 | Trinity Student Council Officers Place a Wreath In Honor of Veterans |
Trinity School, a Catholic, independent, co-ed school, sponsored by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, with grades Pre-School through grade 8 honored those who have served in the US Armed Forces by placing a wreath in the campus circle.
The wreath placement took part during an assembly on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Trinity. Present during the assembly were the student body, parents and honored guests - members of the Trinity family who have served during World War II to the present.
The assembly began with a color guard and pledge led by 8th grade Boy Scouts Noah Adams and Jack Cumming. the Trinity School Band followed with "The Battle Hymn of the Republic." Students took part in the setting of the white table in honor of those in the military who are serving and not present. Mr. George Johnson who served in the US Air Force and is the father of Mrs. Heather Schell, Trinity second grade teacher, shared thoughts about his military experience. Finally a student honor guard processed to the chapel bearing the names of veterans to be remembered in prayer, as requested by their families.
