Home Funeral Vigils with Char Barrett, founder of A Sacred Moment, will present about home funerals and the grief process, green burials, family rights, environmentally friendly options for funerals and burials, and laws and regulations. Attend and learn the answers to these questions and see how families have honored their loved one's passing in this deeply meaningful process. Free to Three Cedars parents and families and suggested donation of $10 from the greater community. No will be turned away due to inability to pay.  April 17th - 19th - Home Funeral & Green Burial Workshop - Kenmore, WA
Take the Journey ~ Learn to:
* Prepare, plan and participate in a home funeral vigil
* Be present to a loved one's passing
* Understand the laws and file a death certificate
* Respond with intention at the time of death
* Care for the deceased through bathing, dressing
and cooling the body
* Create a sacred space and a goodbye ritual
* Work with caskets and shrouds
* Honor the roles of family and friends
* Care for the caregiver
* Transport the body of a loved one
* Learn about green burial as an environmental option
This practical and hands-on workshop is for caregivers, families planning a loved one's passing, hospice staff and volunteers, other end-of-life professionals, community advocates and those pursuing this life's work.
$575 Early registration by April 10th. Workshop fee includes: Three full days of instruction, course materials, lunches, snacks and beverages provided each day, certificate of completion and two-hour follow-up participant conference call one month after workshop. Also included is Life's Last Sacred Moment Handbook - a complete 175-page guide through the Journey of a Home Funeral Vigil.

Learn about Home Funerals & Green Burials from the comfort of your own home with just a computer, internet and phone access. Char Barrett will provide the following topics:
* An overview of The Journey of a Home Funeral
* Assessment if a home funeral vigil is a good fit
* General funeral laws and death certificate paperwork
* What to do at the time of death
* Bathing and dry ice basics
* Engaging family and friends in a home funeral
* Green burial options
* Resource lists
You will have the opportunity to engage with fellow audience members via surveys and questions you submit on-line. At the conclusion of our Webinar you will have a solid understanding of what a home funeral vigil and green burial involves and the specific action steps needed to consider this option.
For those not familiar with this new educational experience a Webinar, or "Web seminar," is an online event designed to facilitate communication between a trainer and audience participants using the a computer, Internet connection and phone.
