Council proposes Transformation 2.0

Presbytery Council invites all ruling elders, deacons, trustees, teaching elders, and interested members of the congregations of the Presbytery of Cincinnati:

A Preview of Transformation 2.0

with Rev. Eric Hoey,

PC(USA) Director of Evangelism & Church Growth, and members of Presbytery Council

Thursday, August 29, 2013

7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Mt. Washington Presbyterian Church

6474 Beechmont Avenue, Cincinnati, 45230

We believe Jesus calls his followers, specifically including the congregations of the Presbytery of Cincinnati, to an active mission that seeks to proclaim the Kingdom of God in our communities. But in recent years, many congregations of our Presbytery have struggled, some have closed, and the ministry and mission of the presbytery has declined.

Transformation 2.0 is a proposed initiative to radically refocus the resources of the presbytery to more effectively help congregations to once again grow in mission to impact the communities around us. Transformation 2.0 will commit $2 million of presbytery funds, together with significant human resources, so that by 2024:

- 10 now declinging congregations would be revitalized

- 10 new worshiping communities would be firmly established

- 20 more congregations would then have full-time teaching elders.

Presbytery Council invites you to join us for this evening of conversation about Jesus' call to our presbytery and the details of Transformation 2.0.

To help us plan, RSVP to confirm your attendance to marion@cpresby.org
