Remembrance
Bill was dedicated to the preservation
and stewardship of Naromi's
Babbling Brook Farm on Church Road

It is with sadness that Naromi mourns the death of its former board member William McGoldrick. Bill was a long-time supporter of agriculture and open space in Sherman, and he served on the Naromi board for many years.  He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of working with him.
Coming up!
CT Trails Day - June 4, 11AM Trails Day is a wonderful national event that happens each June.  In CT, Connecticut Forest and Park Association organizes the weekend-long smorgasbord of events. Naromi worked with many partners to ensure the marvelous outcome that is now the Great Hollow Nature Preserve.  It is with great pleasure that Naromi joins Great Hollow as a co-sponsor of this year's Trails Day hike.

Weed Warriors - June 11, at 9 AM The Warriors are at it again! Well, we all had plenty of time to rest up for this season's battles but it is once again time to continue our fight. As of 2 weeks ago the Japanese Knot Weed colony at the school was well behind other Knot Weed strongholds around town. Undoubtedly due to the treatment work by Geoff Gwyther and Ian Gribble last fall, many of the young shots were turning brown already. We are definitely weakening it but it still has a good amount of fight left.

Annual Meeting - July 8, 6:30 PM Join the Board of Directors of Naromi Land Trust at twilight on Lake Mauweehoo to celebrate the designation of Naromi's Wimisink Wildlife Sanctuary as an Important Bird Area and hear about Naromi's work over the past year.  More information coming soon.
Spring Birds
These birds have been seen around feeders in northern Sherman.  Have you seen them?  What do you see at your house?  Send us your pictures! Click on these photos by Dennis Larkin for more information on each species.
