Dear Friend of Naromi,
Pootatuck Hike 2010
Hikers on a Naromi-led hike at the
Pootatuck State Forest in 2010.
With Fall upon us, Naromi is grateful for the support of our community. We are glad to have had the opportunity to thank everyone by hosting the Annual Fall Picnic.  Some photos are included here, but take a look at our website for more.

In the next couple of months, we will be leading a few hikes (see details below) and volunteer workdays-including on the weekends!  Keep an eye on your mailbox for our Annual Membership drive coming up in October.

Naromi Annual Family Picnic 10/7/12
Many thanks to the work of the many volunteers who made this year's Naromi picnic such a success at the Lake Mauweehoo Club. Set up, serving, clean up -- all went smoothly.

We had over a hundred during the course of the event -- many familiar faces, but lots of new faces too (welcome!). Really amazing on a cool raw day; the most we have ever had for a rainy day picnic.  It was wonderful to have a fire crackling in the big Mauweehoo fireplace to have a cozy place to warm up.  The cooks, as always, did a great job  - lots of compliments on the hamburgers - and that is a tough assignment since the attendees come in batches.  Many good salads and great desserts kept showing up.... just when you think they are gone, more arrive.
