Unity Presbyterian Church welcomes Jeffrey Bergeson as their new pastor. Jeff received his Bachelor of Music degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2003. In 2004 he married in Delaware, Ohio and moved to the Boston area where his wife earned her Master of Social Work degree from Simmons College in 2006, after which they returned to Ohio. From 2006-2010 Jeff was full-time Campus Ministry Staff at Kenyon College through the CCO (Coalition for Christian Outreach). During his four years of seminary (2010-2014) in Pittsburgh, he had the pleasure of interning for two years at Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Jeff completed his seminary coursework in February with a GPA of 3.975, and his CPE in April. He received his M.Div. from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in June, receiving two graduate awards: the John Watson Prize in New Testament Greek and the Middlesex U.P. Church Memorial Prize in Biblical Studies.

Unity Presbyterian Church extended a call to Jeff on July 11. Muskingum Valley Presbytery examined and received him on July 30. He, along with Kelly, his wife of ten years, and their three children, Ana, Zeke, and Mikayla, moved to Cambridge from Pittsburgh in early August.

Though not a native Buckeye, Jeff says that returning to Ohio feels like coming home: "I went to college here, I was baptized here, married here, and our first two children were born here!" Jeff says of himself, "I love Jesus, I love people, and I love the Bible." He is very excited to be ministering to and with Unity Presbyterian Church in Cambridge. He is passionate about discipleship, and very pleased to be in a Presbytery and a congregation that desires to be and make faithful disciples of Jesus.
