Clean For The Arts

Love Pets?
The Almost Home Humane Society is currently seeking volunteers to assist with their morning clean. Volunteers can come for any 1-2 hour block of time between 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. any day of the week. This task may not be the most exciting task but to the animals, it means the world! Almost Home is also looking for individuals to assist in socializing and keeping our pets active and healthy. During this time you may walk dogs, play with kittens, give some TLC to those who are new to the shelter and still adjusting, plus much more! Food Pantry Food Demonstrator
Do you like to cook and enjoy sharing your recipes with others? Help teach the food challenged individuals of the community how to better use their food pantry commodities. Coordinate with the Lafayette Transitional Housing Center food pantry manager to create recipes utilizing commodities, then cook dishes at your home, bring them in during food pantry shifts and offer samples to food clients with your recipe. Multiple shifts are available to choose from. Current openings are Monday and Wednesday from 2-4 and Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30-11:30. If interested, contact Christina, lthc@lthc.net

Train to become a Crisis Volunteer
The Crisis Center could not operate without its 80-100 volunteers. Volunteers come from all walks of life. Four times a year, the Crisis Center provides over 45 hours of intensive training to enable our volunteers to provide confidential, individualized service.Winter training starts February 19, and application and interviews have started.

Care for the Animals
Wildcat Creek Wildlife Center would like to train you to be an animal care volunteer caring for Indiana's wildlife in need. They care for nearly 2000 wildlife patients of all species each year.
Baby season will be here before you know it and they are gearing up! Time commitment is four hours per week. You will be assigned to a trainer so no animal experience is necessary. If interested, call Denise at 765-430-1582 or visit www.wildcatwildlifecenter.org
Music Teacher
Right Steps Cool School is seeking volunteer music instructors. They would allow the kids to be music makers by allowing them to look at different instruments, learn different types of music, and even create music of their own.
