Still Needed
|
Become a Big Would you like to make a difference in the life of an at-risk child or teen?
Volunteers are needed for 70 kids waiting for a Big Brother or Big Sister mentor. Several program options are available, and mentors are especially needed for Little Brothers/Sisters ages 11 to 15. If you have 2 -3 hours a week to invest in a young person, please consider being a Big Brother or Big Sister. To learn more, contact Peggy, peggy@bbbslaf.org or 765-446-2227 or visit www.bbbslaf.org.
Adopt a Space Bauer Family Resources would love for a group to "adopt" their waiting room and help keep the space inviting by visiting the Community Center once a month. Tasks might include:
- cleaning/arranging furniture;
- making a kids' space;
- ideas welcomed.
It is important to us that every person who enters the building feels welcome. With extra help, the staff at Bauer thinks they can improve the experiences of those they serve.If your group is interested, inquire through the volunteer center website, contact Lauren, lgilmore@bauerfamilyresources.org or 765-742-4848.
