            What's New This Week?

Youth Basketball Coaches

Bauer Family Resources is seeking volunteers to assist     

with coaching the Bauer Basketball team. Youth teams are male/female, primarily elementary school age, but includes some middle school students.  

  • Season runs from November-March; Kasey w/ kids
  • games are on Saturday mornings;
  • practice on Mondays and Tuesdays;
  • previous coaching or recreation experience preferred;
  • background checks and other screens must be completed prior to volunteering.

West Lafayette Youth Center Volunteer
Tippecanoe Youth Center is looking for volunteers to spend children-friends-portrait.jpg   time with the kids by way of tutoring, leading games, sports, being someone they can talk to and essentially being a role model to them. This after school needs trustworthy and reliable volunteers to keep them going and keep up with their growth! All it takes is one visit to the Youth Center and you will never want to leave! Veteran to Veteran Volunteer American Flag

Guardian Angel Hospice is seeking Veteran Volunteers to be paired with hospice patients who have been identified as Veterans. Volunteers have the unique ability to relate and connect with each patient thereby creating an environment where life review and healing may occur. Still Needed 

Math Tutors 

Oakland High School is seeking a math tutor for high  school students. Tutoring is needed on Tuesdays from 11:30-12:30pm.

WBAA Member Fund Drive Volunteer
WBAA is looking for volunteers to take pledges over the phone and enter them into a computer. Member drive volunteers are needed on October 14th - 17th. Volunteers will work in two hour time slots and attend a 30-minute training on either October 7th or 9th at 5:30.

Food Pantry AssistantCans

Over the past year, Salvation Army Food Pantry has seen a 14% increase in requests for food assistance. Volunteers will assist in filling and distributing bags of food. Volunteers are needed on Friday mornings, and training is provided. If interested, visit volunteer center website, or contact Audrey, 765-742-0006 x 4 or audrey_schneider@usc.salvationarmy.org.
