            What's New This Week?

Math Tutors
 

Oakland High School is seeking a math tutor for high  school students. Tutoring is needed on Tuesdays from 11:30-12:30pm.

WBAA Member Fund Drive Volunteer
WBAA is looking for volunteers to take pledges over the phone and enter them into a computer. Member drive volunteers are needed on October 14th - 17th. Volunteers will work in two hour time slots and attend a 30 minute training on either October 7th or 9th at 5:30.

Food Pantry AssistantCans

Over the past year, Salvation Army Food Pantry has seen a 14% increase in requests for food assistance. Volunteers will assist in filling and distributing bags of food. Volunteers are needed on Friday mornings, and training provided. If interested, visit volunteer center website, or contact Audrey, 765-742-0006 x 4 or audrey_schneider@usc.salvationarmy.org

Still Needed 

Office Assistance Needed

Salvation Army is recruiting volunteers to assist in office receptionist type duties, particularly this Fall and into the Christmas season. Volunteers needed October 1st to December 25th; flexible hours and the time could be a "split shift" (i.e. 3 hours in the morning or afternoon) to suit individual schedules.

Used Furniture Sitting Around? 

The First Methodist Furniture Bank is running low on donations. Anyone with good used furniture to donate can  contact the furniture bank for pickup at furniture@fumcwl.org.   

The furniture bank especially needs couches, mattresses/box springs, kitchen tables and dressers. For more information, you may contact Jean,Jnorberg@purdue.edu 765-491-1460.
